The Practice

For an appointment call 024 76 33 2636

We are one of a number of practices and pharmacies who have been contracted by Coventry Primary Care Trust to take blood samples for analysis by hospital laboratories. This service is provided in order to save patients travelling to the hospital for the blood to be taken.

Clinics are open to all Coventry patients, not just those registered with Park Leys, but in order to avoid to avoid parking difficulties and long waits it is necessary to make an appointment.

Clinics are held from 8.30 - 11.30 AM, Monday to Friday at Keresley Green, except for Public Holidays and appointments may be made by telephoning 024 76 33 2636. Please ensure that the receptionist know that you are requesting an appointment with the phlebotomist.

Please note that blood samples can only be taken from patients who have a pathology form provided by their own Doctor. Park Leys can only provide forms for patients registered with the practice.

Samples are normally taken by Pat Brady, an experienced phlebotomist. June Bridgeman, a practice Health Care Assistant and Carmela Eaton, a receptionist have also been trained in taking blood and will hold clinics from time to time.

Patients under 16, those who are difficult to bleed or have needle phobias should attend one of the walk in clinics at ether UHCW or Coventry and Warwick Hospital.

Clinics are also held at other GP surgeries and pharmacies across the city.
